Cavaliers and Pioneers

Each volume contains an Introduction that includes information about Virginia’s history, migrations, and settlements as well as the process for obtaining land both before and after the Revolutionary War. The introductions are written by prominent Virginia historians and researchers such as Daphne Gentry, Robert Young Clay, and John M. Hemphill II.
