Exploring Your Family’s Past
One Page at a Time
28 April 2018
The Virginia Genealogical Society will hold a Spring Conference on Saturday, 28 April 2018, at Four Points by Sherton-Richmond Airport, 4700 S Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA. The featured speakers are Tina Beaird, Sharon Hodges, and Tim Pinnick. Three tracks will be offered with focus on Finding Your Ancesteors--Doing it Right the First Time, African-American Research, and Researching Presbyterians and Their Scottish Connections. Our conferences are well attended and we expect approximately 150 participants. A copy of the conference brochure can be found on the VGS web site at www.vgs.org.
Conference registrants come to learn new techniques that will assist them with genealogical research throughout Virginia and the rest of the United States. Although some may currently be your customers, you will have the opportunity to introduce other participants to your business or service. Personal contact would be a great way to establish customer rapport with people doing family history and genealogical research.
So that you may showcase your genealogical services and products, we are offering tables at a cost of $45 for the first table which includes one conference registration with lunch and $10 for each additional table. Extra lunches may be purchased for $20 each.
If you are unable to attend the conference, we would be pleased to display your catalogs and/or brochures. We are also seeking door prizes to be distributed at the conference, e.g., books and/or genealogical supplies and services.
We look forward to seeing you in April.
