VGS recently implemented a new search feature that allows you to search across all Newsletter and Magazine PDF files. The search results return excerpts from individual issues along with links to the issue where the information appears.
Because these files are members-only, the search program currently does not recognize when a user is logged in. As a result, clicking a search result link or attempting to download a PDF produces a “forbidden” error.
We have contacted the plugin developers about enabling the program to recognize logged-in members so users can go directly to the PDFs referenced in the search results. Unfortunately, we do not yet have a solution.
Temporary workaround:
Please note the Volume/Issue and page number shown in the search results excerpt. Then go to the Publications menu and select the appropriate archive (Newsletter or Magazine). From there, navigate to the issue and page number listed in the search results.
(Remember: you must be logged in as a member to access these files.)
