The Spring Conference of the Virginia Genealogical Society (VGS) will be held at the Library of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday, April 8, 2000.
SPEAKERS:
Mary McCampbell Bell, CALS, CGL, specializes in colonial Virginia research and land platting. She is a trustee of the Board for Certification of Genealogists and president of the National Capital Area Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
Mary Leigh Boisseau, a Governor of VGS, has been a professional researcher for over 20 years, speaking at local, regional, state, and national genealogical conferences.
Dorothy A. Boyd-Rush, Ph.D., is dean of the Graduate School at James Madison University where she is also Professor of History. President of VGS, and contributor to the Magazine of Virginia Genealogy, she is a prolific author and much sought-after speaker.
Carolyn Goudie, is a Research Archivist at the Library of Virginia. A lecturer and author, she enjoys teaching genealogy workshops for beginners.
Marie Martin Murphy, CGRS, is a professional genealogist and lecturer, and vice-president of VGS. A charter member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild, she is a trustee of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
There are several hotels near the Library of Virginia: The Richmond Marriott (804) 643-3400, and the Richmond Omni (804) 344-7000. Both have weekend rates.
There are several parking lots to the west of the Library. Parking in the Library lot is reserved for library patrons and is not permitted for conference attendees.
OTHER:
Vendors of books, software, forms, and other items of interest to researchers
will be available all day. Be sure to visit them at breaks.
Please note if a vegetarian meal is requested. Pre registration by March 22, 2000, includes lunch. Meal reservations received after this date cannot be guaranteed.

After March 22, 2000, registration is $35.00 ($40 non-VGS member).
